Real Estate Attorney Role: The Real Estate Attorney is responsible for supporting the Legal Department working cross functionally with Development and Asset Management departments. This includes preparing, examining, analyzing and revising Corporate issued agreements that involve the purchase, sale, lease renewal or breach of its franchise entities.

This position also reviews, examines and analyzes corporate entity structures (corporations, partnerships, limited liability corporations, etc.) for franchise entities to ensure compliance with franchise related agreements. Prepare, negotiate, review, and revise all legal documents required in the facilitation of all real estate transactions for corporate development and asset management departments as well as all franchise-related documents.

Oversee renewals, amendments, and terminations of franchise agreements. Frequently communicates and meets with franchisees; in-house and off-site counsel; Operations; Real Estate; Accounting; Finance; Franchise Sales and Legal staff departments resolving disputes and litigation relating to real estate issues. Oversee the distribution of Company FFDs (Franchise Disclosure Agreements).

Oversee collection and internal application of franchise related business fees while enforcing terms of executed documents. Prepare professional written communications on behalf of counsel. Reviews examines and analyzes corporate entity structures.

Coordinate and meets with field Franchise Business Consultants on individual franchisee matters to ensure consistent documentation and communication. Review leases for compliance with Corporate Legal agreements and reviews franchisees' entity documents for timely preparation/renewal. Real Estate Attorney Background Profile: JD degree from an accredited law school is required.

3 years of experience as a Real Estate Attorney at either a law firm or as in-house counsel. Knowledge of drafting, negotiating, reviewing and revising all legal documents and agreements pertaining to real estate. Member of a State Bar in good standing.

Must be self motivated and able to prioritize multiple projects individually or with a team Knowledge of law, business, real estate, litigation, contracts, sales and management is preferred. Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
